DANCING WITH YUNG YUNG TSUAI 1991

In 1991 I shared friendship and dance with Yung Yung Tsuai when she visited the NC School of the Arts as a teacher for The Martha Graham Dance School in New York. 

 She choreographed this piece from our friendship and captured my struggle between the opposite archetypal human patterns according to Toni Wolfe. This dance demonstrates the mystic and the warrior differences...

JUNGIAN MUSIC WORK...EXAMPLE

The final class for my specialization in Jungian Depth Psychology was on the technique of active imagination that Jung developed when he created the Redbook. This video shares an example of the magic available within these techniques. We are humming together (sorry, it is a little difficult to hear me joining in) as an experience of integration. This represents the integration of aspects of the psyche (unconscious) that become available for our conscious choices. I am very grateful to Charo Pinilla for sharing this experience!

I want to share my favorite quotes below from the best book I've found on Archtypal Music Psychotherapy in 'Jungian Music Psychotherapy' by Joel Kroeker:

... on the south end of one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world... we have held inipi kaga traditional sweat lodge ceremonies here for over a decade and feel very connected to our TSALAGI ancestors of this homeland and the spirits of this land and this sacred mountain. First dream story magic gathering july 19, 2016 full moon

In reality the bears were the first to arrive...mocha reminded them firmly to keep good boundaries and we were all happy to have them be a part of this effort. I am sitting by the fire on a black puppy, realizing that I am being convinced that I have everything necessary to setup the spider alter for luampi ceremony. There will be a slow deliberate beginning that will progress to a high speed travel on a safe course... Same story in Tsalagi verb based language: "sits on puppy" and "rides with fast driver" does dreamwork...:)
